HARMONIX
1MU131 - Non-Auditioned Tenor & Bass Ensemble
Harmonix is our Non-Auditioned Tenor & Bass Ensemble that is both a perfect fit for freshman making the transition from middle school to high school, and also serves as a great elective for upperclassmen. Harmonix is one of the many vocal ensembles that are a part of The West Covina High School Choral Department, whose purpose is to develop future singers/musicians through the study of music theory, different cultural and musical genres, and performance of high quality music. Members of this ensemble have the ability to sing many classical and non-classical genres; genres include, but are not limited to, Pop, Jazz, Art Songs, R&B, Broadway, and so much more. In addition, students will have opportunities, through the Choral Department’s various connections, to work within the music industry participating in such things as Disney Workshops and master classes with industry professionals. Enrollment for this vocal ensemble is open to all students whose voice healthily sits within the Tenor & Bass range; no audition is required. Harmonix I, II, III, and IV are offered for students interested in taking additional years of this course.
As a part of this non-auditioned ensemble (choir) student will have access to a lot opportunities.
